Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress, and songwriter for many years. Her mother raised her throughout the USA she was subject to many racial slurs that made her feel being unwanted. After she participated in an event at school and was given the highest praise for her singing, in ninth grade she began to grow more confident. The experience not only boosted her confidence but also shifted her career ambition. She attended the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. When she was 23, she began her career making her first appearance on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films with You've Got Mail. Her biggest break came with the role of The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the first Broadway version of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great praise for the performance. In the following year, she was cast as Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gain more fame. Also, she is a well-known performer and has produced an extended show. She's also an activist who fights to protect LGBT rights.
